Hello, thank you for the beautiful pictures that capture the feelings and the spirit of Kyoto. I lived there in 1987 for one year and studied the tea ceremony. I was back for a glorious and nostalgic visit in 1997.
A question: do you know of Ita Jinja in the north of Kyoto? It is my favorite place on the planet and especially of its irises in spring – might you have any fotos of it?
Thank you,
Christina

Treat Nils? Well, if you insist. We’ll get something nice, cool, and tasty. My treat. (^-^)

What absolute bliss! All my favourite things too…(see my earlier comment about green tea ice cream). Looking forward to my next visit to Kyoto already!

Christina, there’s an Ota Jinja with irises up north near Kamigamo Jinja. Surely, you must mean that one, no?
Jerry, if you are coming to town with a girlfriend, you don’t bring a guy with you when you go to a place like that, do you?
