I’ve been coming to Your site for quite some time… I really have to say that Your Photos and perspective of Japan (as presented in Your postings) are Wonderful… Absolutely Wonderful.
Most trees were pretty much mankai today in Higashiyama are of Kyoto (a bit south and a tad warmer than where Nils is), yet there were some trees with no blossoms right next to mankai trees. Perhaps it’s the odd weather we’ve had.
The area around Niomon-dori and Heian-jingu were quite nice. Maruyama-koen, on the other hand, was a disgusting zoo that not even the sakura could overcome. Some pics (not as good as Nils’) linked from my blog (click on my name below).
