Just a quick note – though I always like your photos, for some reason I particularly like the color and light of this one . . . you run a great blog, and I always stop by when I grow nostalgic for my favorite city in the world.
Thanks for coming. Too much praise for a photo with washed out highlights, but that’s because I exposed it for the dark space inside the noren curtain, however, I wanted to keep it in the picture despite the overexposure (the outer walls too). Two minutes after I took this picture, I ran into Katsura-san from Tante Knight Scoop doing man-on-the-street interviews, but I didn’t even stop long enough to take his picture, because I hadd to rush to the depachika to get sage for the stuffing to cook in our Christmas turkey. I was on a tight schedule.
The new Kyoto site is almost ready, and will be announced before New Year’s.
